Betty Ruth Miller

Mrs. Betty Ruth Miller, 77, of Frost, passed away at Hillcrest Baptist Hospital in Waco on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013.

She was born on May 6, 1935, in Corsicana, to Cammie Ruth and Willie Jefferson Watson. She married Charles D. Miller on Feb. 21, 1953.

Betty graduated from El Centro College in Dallas as a registered nurse. She spent 48 years caring for patients, friends and loved ones. Being a nurse was one of the endeavors she enjoyed most in life. She also loved listening to Christian music and reading scripture. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her yard work and the flowers that she grew.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Brenda Birkland; and infant son, Charles D. Miller Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Charles D. Miller; children, David Miller and wife Kelly of Dawson, and daughter Donna Miller and husband, Mike Fleaher of Waxahachie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew Miller and wife Jennifer of Dawson, Garrett Miller and wife Nia of Salado, Kristen Brunton and husband Ben of Mildred, and Caitlin Fleaher and Cade Fleaher of Waxahachie. Betty was blessed with nine great-grandchildren, Jalyn, Mattie, Mollie, and Reese Miller, Jade Spain, Emma and Anna Brunton, and Brent and Mychala Fleaher.    

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013, at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Moore officiating.

    She worked as a bookkeeper for 35 years at Watson Truck & Supply in Hobbs, N.M. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
