Corsicana — Harold C. Woodard, age 87, of McGregor passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 at a local hospital.

Harold was born on Jan. 24, 1925 in Purdon, Texas to Henry and Claudia Woodard. He grew up in the Purdon area. On Jan. 30, 1953, he married Lina Tave Fraley. They just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Harold was in the Air Force for three years. He worked at Connally Air Force Base, Rocketdyne and sold real estate.

He is survived by his wife Lina of McGregor; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Frances and Ben Wolle Jr. of Crawford; Doug and Sharon Fraley of Corsicana and Florene Folk of Belle Chasse, La. He is also survived by special nieces Melinda Bruce and husband Donnie of Crawford; Kim Williams of Eddy and Allison Pearson and husband Kyle of Crawford. Other nieces and nephews include Bob Folk, Tina Folk, Lisa DeWeirdt, John Fraley and their families. He was especially fond of his great nieces and nephews Kayla, Lauren, Blake, Marissa, Dylan, Beau, Gage, Garrett and Graham.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Crawford with Rev. Tom Beers officiating.

He was born in Streetman to Calvert Vell and Pauline Coleman Carroll on March 24, 1936. He was a rancher in the Streetman area and attended the First Baptist Church in Streetman. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served on the Birdston Cemetery Association Board.
