Peggy S. Fluker

Peggy S. Fluker passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at East Alabama Medical Center.  She was born March 9, 1928 in Navarro, Texas.

Mrs. Fluker had been a resident of Auburn for the past 52 years. She was a homemaker and had been employed at the Auburn High School, Dean Road School and the office of the Auburn Superintendent of Education. She had also been an active member of the First Baptist Church of Auburn and the Auburn University New Comers Club. Peggy graduated from Corsicana High School and Navarro College in their first graduating Class.  

Survivors include her husband, Billie J. Fluker of Auburn; three daughters, Diane (Steven) Barnard of Auburn; Karen (James) Tate of Melfa, Va., Kathy (Mike) Hamrick of Eufaula; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and sister, Betty (Tracy) McGaha of Corsicana.

Memorial service for Peggy S. Fluker, 84, of Auburn, AL will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Reverend Dale Peterson is officiating.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the East Alabama Medical Center Foundation.

Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home & Crematory of Opelika, Alabama is directing.
