Patricia W. Jones

Corsicana —



Patricia W. Jones was born Oct. 2, 1930, in Dunsmuir, Calif., and passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013,  in Corsicana.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, James Walker; her husband, Dr. Morton E. Jones and son Kent Jones.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Ronald Smith of Carrollton; son and wife, Steve and Tracy Jones of Waxahachie, and son and wife, Jay and Carol Jones of Mildred. She leaves seven grandchildren, Alan, Christopher, David, Jesse, Bonnie, Stephen and Erin who will miss her greatly.

A homemaker for over 50 years in Richardson, Patricia was an active volunteer in school PTAs, a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, an election worker at Heights Elementary School, and a 60 year member of Kappa Delta sorority. Pat was known for her wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed singing and dancing at every opportunity.

A funeral service and life celebration will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, in the Restland Wildwood Chapel, 13005 Greenville Avenue in Dallas for those wishing to honor her memory.

Donations may be sent to the Kappa Delta Foundation, 3205 Players Lane, Memphis, TN 38125 or the charity of your choice.

The family of Patricia is grateful to the staff of the Corsicana Sterling House and Family First Hospice for their loving spirit and care.
