Graveside service for Ladell Cranford, 84, formally of Chandler is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery with Pastor Bob Sexton officiating. Services are under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Cranford passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 at The Hospice of East Texas. She was born to the late Robert H. and Bennie Mayo on Aug. 30, 1927 in Corsicana. She is the widow of J.W. Cranford. They were married on March 23, 1960.
She was a member of Westlake Baptist Church of Chandler. In her adult life she co-owned two restaurants and Cranford Vending Machine Company in Corsicana. In her retirement she enjoyed camping, fishing, and volunteer work at Chandler Nursing Home and Trinity Mother Frances Hospital along with family gatherings.
She is survived by two daughters; Tressa and husband Carl Jackson of Chandler, Kay and her husband Craig Bock of Linn, Mo.; one son, Eddie Wilson and his wife Belynda of Crockett; three grandsons, Chad Wilson and his wife Carrie of Humble, Brian Bock of St. Peters, Mo., and Dylan Wilson and his wife DaMarys of Corsicana, one granddaughter; Rebecca Spencer and her husband Tim of Union, Mo., four great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family’s wish is to make a donation in memory of Ladell Cranford, to The Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler 75701
Visitation will be at the cemetery at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 prior to service.
