Verna Catherine Lucas, 92, passed away July 1, 2012 in Valrico, Florida. She was a long time resident of Corsicana and Trinidad.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earnest Lucas.

She is survived by her daughter Soo Soo Lucas Rhoads, two sons Peter and Mark Lucas, grandchildren Todd Rhoads, Laurel Hughes and Michael Lucas, and four great grandchildren. Through years of a life with Alzheimer's, she continually blessed us with her kind nature and beautiful smile.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Mankin Cemetery in Trinidad. Words of comfort may be expressed at 5643 Key Ranch Rd, Trinidad, TX 75163 or by phone (903) 778-2647 or cell (813) 758-3630.
