Mrs. Melody Joy Gentry, age 50, of Ocean Springs, Miss. died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in Ocean Springs.
Melody was a native of Corsicana and a resident of the coast for the past 12 years. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother and was loved by many.
She was preceded in death by a son, Heath Skinner and her father, Ronald J. Skinner.
Survivors include her husband of 13 years, Steve W. Gentry of Ocean Springs, Miss.; daughter, Allyson (Bachir) Tourkzi of Deltona, Fla.; two sons, Austin Gentry and Logan Gentry, both of Casselberry, Fla.; mother, Janis (Jim) Ware of Crowley, Texas; two brothers, Mitchell Sanches of Azle and Andy Sanches of Haslett; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, and Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 from 1:30 to 3 p.m., all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
On Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, there will be a 3 p.m. chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
