Anna Lee Culp, 83 of Waxahachie, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, in Irving.
She was born Oct. 30, 1926 in Herrin, Ill. to Albert Posy and Era Ellen Barger Mitchell. Anna Lee was a 1944 graduate of Wilmer Hutchins High School. She married Warren Nathan Culp on May 27, 1960, and worked from 1944 to 1967 in the cashier office for Sear and Roebuck. She was a longtime member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Lodge.
Anna Lee was preceded in death by her husband Warren Nathan “Shorty” Culp, and four brothers, Theodore and Ralph Mitchell both of Glendale, Ill., Van Mitchell of Dallas, and Thomas Mitchell of Reseda, Calif. and one sister, Sylvia Schuchardt of Simpson, Ill.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Arterbury and husband Kenneth of Whitesboro, Janice Hargrave and husband Reginal of Oakwood, and Wynell Bounds and husband John of Caldwell; her grandchildren Dwayne Arterbury of Whitesboro, Natalie Proffer and husband Daniel of Myra, Nickolas Hargrave of Irving, Nathaniel Hargrave of Bedford; and three great-grandchildren, McKenna Proffer, Augustus Arterbury and Anna Proffer.
Visitation with the family was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Grimes officiating. Interment will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Arterbury, Reginal Hargrave, John Bounds, Dwayne Arterbury, Nicholas Hargrave and Nathaniel Hargrave.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
