Shirley Ann Allen Tramel, 76, went to be with her Lord Sunday morning, Feb. 5, 2012, in Dallas, after a lengthy battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
She was born June 2, 1935, in Emhouse, to Raymond and Gaudy Allen. She spent her life serving the needs of others whether it be family, friends, or her church, where she always served in the Benevolence Ministry. She always put the needs of others before her own.
She was preceded in death by Jack Tramel, her loving husband of 56 years; her parents; her infant daughter, Beckey Tramel; sisters, Sammie Gray and Dorothy Allen; and brother, Billy Allen.
She is survived by her three children; daughter, Pat Davis and her husband Rennie of Corsicana; sons, Rory Tramel and wife Suzanne of Arlington and Jay Tramel of Dallas; sister-in-law, Shirley Allred and husband Don of Allen; granddaughters, Amber Wheeler of Fort Worth, and Candace Gorman and husband Bryan of Arlington; great-grandsons, Derek Wheeler, Dylan Wheeler, Ethan Gorman and Caleb Gorman, all of Arlington; step-grandchildren, Susan Larson of St. George, Utah, Billy Davis of Kingman, Ariz. ,and Rennie Davis II of Las Vegas, Nev.; nine step-great-grandchildren; nephew, Mike Allred and wife Janet of Battiest, Okla., niece, Diane McDonald of Dallas; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and one aunt, Maudean Reagan of Chandler.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at the Mexia City Cemetery with the Rev. Elvin Sikes officiating. Interment will be in Mexia City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lance Allred, Michael Allred, Don L. Allred, Mark Wheeler, Bryan Gorman and Rennie Davis.
