Corsicana —
Kathryn Frances Nix Rea, 85, passed away in her home in McAllen on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012. She was born in Willow, Ark. to Willie and Joel Nix. She graduated from high school in Taylor, Ark. and also graduated with an associate degree in Home Economics from Southern State University in Magnolia, Ark. She was known as a devoted wife, homemaker, and mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Glenn Rea. They were longtime members of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Roger Glenn Rea, 55, of McAllen; her daughter, Peggy Rea Polinard, 61, of Mission; and her grandson, Joshua Latour Polinard, 30, of Edinburg. She is also survived by her sister, Vivian A. Davis and brother -in-law, Billy K. Davis of Crossett, Ark.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at Corley Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at Dresden Cemetery with Rev. B.F. Risinger Jr. officiating.
