Mrs. Shirley Ann Lord, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at her residence in Corsicana. She was born Oct. 16, 1951 in Corsicana to Betty June and Elmer Ray Poteet.
She attended Corsicana High School and graduated in 1970. She worked many years as a cook in the Corsicana Public Schools and attended Community Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Ray Poteet.
She is survived by her husband, James F. Lord; her mother, Betty Poteet; step-daughters, Jennie Lord and Heather Jackson; step-son, Chris Lord; sisters, Brenda Burke and Joyce Bell; and nieces, Lori Hinderliter, Tammy Hoover, Michelle Goben, and Adriene Herring.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at Corley Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery with Rev. Larry Talbert officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
