Corsicana —
Kennith Brinston Clark, resident of Corsicana, went to be with his heavenly Father on Friday morning, November 11, 2011 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas at the age of 80. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and best friend. He loved the Lord and certainly kept the commandment which says: Love thy neighbor as thyself. He would do anything for anybody who needed help and his family looked up to him for his advice and opinion on every day matters. He loved doing things for others and he will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Kennith was born in Dresden to Lenard Clarence Clark and Hazel Bower Clark on May 20, 1931. He graduated from Corsicana High School where he played the Tuba in the Band. Following graduation he went to Navarro College. Kennith served his country in the Korean War from 1950 - 1954 in the United States Air Force while stationed in Japan for 26 months and at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichata Falls prior to going to Japan. He married Betty Rivers on August 21, 1954 in Ennis and was employeed for 16 years with Sherman Williams as Credit Manager and 25 years with American Airlines in fleet services, retiring in 1994. During this time he served as the 1st Vice President of the Transportation Union Workers of America and instituted the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Rehabilitation Program. Kennith was also a member of the Corsicana Masonic Lodge #174 in Corsicana for almost 50 years and has been a member of Northside Baptist Church for the past ten years, having grown up at Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by hs parents, two sisters Shirley Clark and Margaret Lusk, one brother Dewey Clark and two children James Monty Clark and Debbie Jane Clark. Kennith is survived by his wife of 57 years Betty Jane Clark of Corsicana. Three children: Kenneth Michael Clark and his wife Renee of Midlothian, Larry Mark Clark and his wife Cynthia of Ovilla, and Lorrie Anne Hudson and her husband James of Corsicana. Eight grandchildren: Bradley Mark Clark and wife Brooke, Melissa Grimes and husband Jon, Kristen Clark, Matthew Brinston Clark, Christopher Trenton Clark, Cory Michael Clark, Emily Ackermann, and Megan Lyn Murphy. Five great grandchildren: Corbin, Makenzie, Cade, Camden, and Tatum. He is also survived by his two sisters Patricia Owen of Corsicana and Sherry Boling of Grand Prairie and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon with the family from 4 to 6 p.m. at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday morning, November 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Lamb of Northside Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bradley Mark Clark, Matthew Brinston Clark, Christopher Trenton Clark, Cody Michael Clark, Austin Campbell, and Jordan Day.

He was born in Streetman to Calvert Vell and Pauline Coleman Carroll on March 24, 1936. He was a rancher in the Streetman area and attended the First Baptist Church in Streetman. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served on the Birdston Cemetery Association Board.
