Mrs. Billie Ruth Eaton, 86, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at Navarro Regional Hospital. She was born March 19, 1926 in Blooming Grove to parents Mary and John Cagle.
She was a member of North Beaton Church of Christ. She retired after 44 years of service at Woolworth Department Store. Her most successful accomplishment was spending 65 years with the love of her life, Buddy Eaton. She loved the outdoors, and going to the races with Buddy. She loved animals and loved life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jewel Moreau, Aileen Higgins, Sue Kessinger, Opal Hoffman, Vestal Harris, Lena Whiteside, and an infant girl, and also an infant brother.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William E. “Buddy” Eaton; sister, Doris Christian, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at Corley Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Mr. Steve Orbison officiating.
