Corsicana —
Catherine Gnoza passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at Texas Health Hospital in Sherman. She was born May 21, 1927 in Boston, Mass. to Thomas J. Neary and Mary Quinn Neary. Catherine was a former resident of Corsicana and for the past six years had lived in Sherman. She was retired from the First National Bank in Corsicana after 20 years where she worked in the Trust Department. While living in Corsicana she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and after moving to Sherman she became a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman. She was a member of the Altar Society and Womens Club, and played in a Bridge Club as well. Her hobbies included gardening and crocheting.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Frank Gnoza in 1990.
Survivors include her children: Pat Gasper of Sherman, Francis Baird and her husband Don of Sherman, Peter Gnoza and his wife Pam of Overland Park, Kan., and Frank Gnoza and his wife Gretchen of Red Oak; and one sister, Rita Stappen and her husband Gorden of Penbrook, Mass. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jeremy Gnoza, Zach Gnoza, Hunter Gnoza, Christopher Stigler, Thomas Gnoza, Donnie Baird, Ryan Baird, Jessica Gnoza, Hannah Gnoza, and Maria Gnoza.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home. Rosary will be held after the visitation in the Chapel at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Jason Cargo officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Corsicana. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Gnoza, Zach Gnoza, Hunter Gnoza, Christopher Stigler, Thomas Gnoza, Donnie Baird, and Ryan Baird.

She was born Dec. 4, 1954, to Mike and Janet Montgomery.
She was a loving wife, mother, and “Nana” who gave endlessly to her family and cherished her friends. -

She was born June 2, 1927, in Blooming Grove.
She worked as a bookkeeper for 35 years at Watson Truck & Supply in Hobbs, N.M. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church. -
