Corsicana —
Margie Winona McDaniel, age 90, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Heritage Oaks West. She was born March 22, 1922 in Corsicana to Harvey and Essie May Williams.
She was a longtime member of Missionary Baptist Church in Corsicana. Her first love was for Christ and bringing her family up in a Christian home. She was very proud at Easter when all of her family came into town and attended church with her.
Mrs. McDaniel had retired from Texas Miller Products. After retirement she was co-owner with her husband of Surgas in Corsicana. She also worked as an Avon representative in Corsicana for 33 years.
She loved being with people.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Percy Loyce McDaniel and a son, Donald Wayne McDaniel.
She is survived by a son, David Loyce McDaniel and wife Eleatha; two daughters, Pamela Celeste Wright and husband James, Deborah Marie King and husband Ray; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at Corley Funeral Home.
Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lain Teel officiating. Burial will follow at Campbell-Elrod Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ray King, Eric King, Bradley King, Brett McDaniel, Wesley McDaniel and Edward Straubing.
