Billy James Hardin, 58, of Corsicana passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at his residence. He was born on Feb. 4, 1951, in Corsicana.
He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He loved his family in his own special way. He worked as a diesel mechanic for over 20 years which he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Oliver and Ozella Hardin.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Hardin of Corsicana; son, James Hardin and wife Tammy of Corsicana; daughters, Christina McManus and husband Scott of Mabank and Barbara Jean Mullins and husband Thomas of Robinson; granddaughters, Nina Pope and Bailey Sue Hardin of Corsicana; grandsons, Blair Wesley Hardin of Corsicana, Billy Grant McManus and Coy Ryan McManus of Mabank; great-grandchild, Keeghan Pope of Corsicana; sisters, Frances Marie Laroe and Sandra Kay Bass of Tyler, and Peggy Sullivan of Thornton; brothers, Sam Hardin of Earlsboro, Okla., Tommy Hardin, Ben Hardin and George Wesley “Dino” Hardin of Corsicana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 19, at Corley Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 5 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery with Bill Honea officiating.
