The Mildred Lady Eagles took control of District 23-2A with a 13-5 victory over the visiting Teague Lady Lions. The Eagles improved to 3-0 in district and is the only remaining unbeaten team.
Olivia Farmer picked up the victory on the mound for the Lady Eagles. She struck out six and walked three while giving up only two hits and one earned run in her five innings of work.
Maddie Moore was 5-5 with a homerun and three RBIs for the Lady Eagles, who had 16 hits in the game. Shelby Adamson was 2-4 with a homerun and a triple. Farmer and Aubyn Turner each had two hits and two RBIs for the Eagles. Callie Bland and Abbie Burnham each collected two in the game.
Frost 18, GP Advantage 1: Jae Moore had 15 strikeouts and drove in four runs as Frost defeated Grand Prairie Advantage 18-1 in a district game.
Hillaree Schwartz was 3 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs. Kaycee Bowling was 2 for 4 with three runs and two RBIs. Kadee Bowling had a home run, triple and three RBIs.
Hubbard 17, Wortham 1 (3): Dallas Fletcher had a home run and six RBIs as Hubbard routed Wortham 17-1 in three innings.
BASEBALL
Dawson 13, Axtell 3 (5): Jake Strother had four hits and Brandon Cehand picked up his second win as Dawson beat Axtell 13-5 in five innings.
Frost 13, Milford 6: Jacob Stroder had two doubles and five RBIs as Frost beat Milfored 13-6 in a district game.
Mildred 5, Teague 4: Will Burnham had two doubles and RBI as Mildred held off Teague 5-4 on Friday in a District 23-2A matchup.
