The Frost Polar Bears remained unbeaten at 6-0 with a 27-21 at Perrin-Whitt.
Frost took the game’s momentum when upman Jacob Stroder ran a fake punt nine yards on fourth-and-9 at the Pirate 43 yard line with 7:47 in the third quarter. One play later, Robert Worley ran 34 yards to break a 14-14 tie.
Frost then put pressure on the Pirates with fumble recoveris by Jesus Cabrera and Woody Woods and six tackles for losses, including sacks by Maliko Bruce and Andrew Jackson.
Daniel Steels ran for 119 yards and a touchdown for the Polar Bears, and Worley added 95. Worley also had a seven-yard touchdown catch.
