CHS Girls Hoops: Lady Tigers win again, beat Palestine 41-37

PALESTINE — — Shamara Taylor had eight points and eight steals as the Lady Tigers’ defense spurred another win, this one a 41-37 victory over Palestine on the road Tuesday night.

Corsicana (6-4) has won four straight games headed into the Thanksgiving break.

“It was a great effort from the team,” Corsicana coach Art Prevost said. “Defense did it.”

Erica Melendez led the Lady Tigers with 11 points. Calae Wilson also scored in double figures with 10. Alexis Baston had five points. Kennady Betts had four and Tatyana Betts had two. Destini Lunsford and Galinda Davis also played well.

The Lady Tigers had a sweep in Palestine as the junior varsity won 38-11 and the freshmen team won 21-9.
