Team Supreme shows promising future

Track Club picks up two bronze medals at TTAF State Games in Corpus Christi

Corsicana — The Team Supreme Track Club offered up more evidence this weekend that the future of Corsicana track is very promising.

Team Supreme picked up two bronze medals in relays at the TTAF State Games of Texas track and field meet in Corpus Christi.

They won with an older team, and a young one too.

The girls 18 and under team of Makenzie Lee, Megan Moultrie, Robin Henley and Michelle Turner took third place in the mile relay. They ran a time of 45.58. They finished behind Wings Track Club (4:05.50) and Whitehouse/Tyler Metro (4:08.74).

The boys 14 and under team of Jerry Hall, Ryan Brown, Kishawn Kelley and Jamichea Polk also picked up a bronze medal in the 400 meter relay. They ran a time of 45.58. They finished behind Sprinters (44.49) and Garland (44.55).

Polk also took fourth place in the 14 and under 100 meter dash. Polk ran a time of 11.74. Waco’s Quintin Dancer was first with a time of 11.25

     When Nakaila Banks led off with a single and scored soon after a sacrifice bunt and two errors, it looked like Hubbard might be looking at a big offensive night. It turned out to be anything but, and it also turned out to be more than enough. Olivia Curtis was splendid on the mound, striking out 13, and the Lady Jags dumped Trenton, 3-0, in the Region II-1A semifinals before a crowd of 250 in Crandall.
