The Mildred Eagles punched their ticket into the playoffs with a 61-54 victory over the Buffalo Bisons in Fairfield on Friday. The Eagles are the third seed out of District 23-2A.
Mildred trailed 28-26 at the half but outscored Buffalo 17-10 in the third quarter and held on in the fourth quarter for the win.
Nic Shimonek led four Eagles into double-figures with 22 points and Mikey Muncy added 14. Jase Butler and Draylon Sterling each scored 12 for the Eagles.
Mildred will play Trinity at 7 p.m. Tuesday night in Elkhart in a Region III-2A bi-district playoff game.
