D'Warren Simmons had 15 points, but the Hubbard boys lost to Martin's Mill 66-56 in a Region III-1A DI bi-district playoff game at Tiger Gym.
Jordan Johnson and Bradley Walker added nine points each for Hubbard, which finished the season at 16-11.
Trinity 89, Mildred 56: Nic Shimonek scored 25 points, but Mildred's season ended with an 89-56 loss to Trinity on Tuesday night in a Region III-2A bi-district game in Elkhart.
Mildred (11-7) had 11 points from Mikey Muncy and five each from Draylon Sterling and Jase Butler.

GC Softball: Single focus - Hubbard has sights set on steady Sam Rayburn
When Tuesday’s rains blew through Hubbard, blowing up the last half of practice, the Lady Jags loaded up, and went home. They can only hope to be loading up and going south next week. Hubbard (24-6-1) has a chance to set GPS devices for Austin if the Lady Jags can get past Sam Rayburn (28-2) Friday in the Region II-1A championship.

Josh Lindblom pitched out of trouble several times early in his debut as a major league starter. The Texas right-hander couldn't do it in the fifth inning. Seth Smith homered and scored three times, Bartolo Colon pitched seven strong innings for his first win in a month and the Oakland A's beat the Rangers 9-2 on Monday night.

Four. It’s the number that will be on the dry erase board at Monday’s practice in Dawson, and it represents the number of wins the Bulldogs baseball team needs to get to Austin. The Bulldogs beat Muenster Saturday, 4-3, earning a sweep in the Region II-1A quarterfinals series.
