Navarro Baseball: Bulldogs sweeps Bossier

Corsicana — Zach Hobbs pitched eight innings as Navarro completed a sweep of Bossier Parish on Saturday.

Hobbs allowed two runs, both of them unearned. He had four strikeouts and no walks.

Jack Moffitt picked up the save, allowing a hit in the ninth inning. He has two strikeouts and a walk.

John Clay Reeves had a single and two RBIs. Mason Salazar had three hits and an RBI. Jovan Hernandez was 2 for 3 4 with an RBI.

Navarro held on for a 7-5 victory in Game 1 of the doubleheader. J.P. Phillips was the hitting star, going 2 for 4 with three RBIs. Hernandez was 3 for 4 with two RBIs. Campbell Cooper was 2 for 4 and scored three runs. Drake Roberts and Byron Reichstein also each had two hits.

Chad Young started, allowing three runs in 4 1/3 innings. Gage Curry picked up the win, allowing a hit in 1 2/3 innings. Blake Griffin picked up the save.
