Dallas Life routes Rice 41-13
The difference: Life School aerial attack. Three Lion quarterbacks completed 67 percent of their passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns.
Standouts: Life School WR Teverick Boyd caught seven passes for 132 yards and a touchdown. Boyd also passed for another touchdown. Carvin Thompson carried 12 times for 120 yards and three touchdowns for Life School. For Rice, Austin Anderson rushed for 93 yards on 19 carries.
Game notes: Due to too much rain during the week, the game was moved to Waxahachie High School … Senior FB Austin Anderson continues to lead the Bulldog ground attack. Anderson finished with a hard-fought 93 yards on 19 carries … Life School was penalized 14 times for 95 yards … Life School scored their first touchdown on a double pass from Malcolm Trail to Teverick Boyd to John Morrison … Boyd later scored on the first play of the second half … Bulldog receivers Shaquille Fields and Ragan Henderson both caught diving passes for their first varsity receptions … Rice has an off-week before starting district play in two weeks when the Bulldogs travel to Malakoff.
Stat of the game: Rice was a minus six in the turnover category, throwing three interceptions and losing three fumbles. Life School had no turnovers.
