The Navarro women’s soccer team continued its hot start to the season with a 7-0 victory over Richland on Thursday in Dallas.
Navarro, playing its seventh straight ranked opponent, improved its record to 5-0-2 on the season.
Navarro, No. 9 in the NJCAA poll but ranked eighth by the coaches, used Thursday match as a tuneup for the start of conference play.
The Bulldogs open up conference action Saturday at Northeast Community College. Navarro returns home Tuesday to play No. 2 Tyler. Gametime is set for 4 p.m.

Eye on the Prize
Dave “Coach” Robertstad, an avid birdwatcher and outdoor enthusiast, could have kept his teaching focused on standard P.E. activities like kickball, dodgeball or basketball but he answered a higher calling. Instead, Coach Robertstad took it upon himself to create the OAK program alongside his standard P.E. curriculum as a means of teaching his students critical outdoor skills.
