Corsicana Junior Daniel Ruiz placed third at the Region 3 Division 1 THSPA Powerlifting Championships held at Lindale High School on Saturday.
Ruiz turned in his best performance of the year. He had personal bests in all three lifts — Squat 525 pounds, Bench 375 pounds, and Dead Lift 535 pounds.
