Former Kerens coach lands job at SL Carroll
Hal Wasson, a Navarro County native, will be recommended as Southlake Carroll's next football coach at Monday's school board meeting, sources close to the program said Friday, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Wasson's hiring is pending approval by the school board, which is scheduled to meet Monday.
Wasson was head coach at Kerens where he played during high school and a former assistant at Corsicana in the early ‘80s. He also played for Navarro.
Currently coaching at Keller Fossil Ridge, Wasson would be replacing former Dragons coach Todd Dodge, who left in December to become the head coach at North Texas.
