Lions’ Sanchez selected to 2008 All-Texas High School Team
Blooming Grove’s Juve Sanchez will be among the state’s elite when the 2008 winter edition of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football hits newsstands today.
Sanchez was selected by Texas Football to the 2008 All-Texas High School second team offense as a kicker.
The senior was one of eight Class 2A players selected.
Sanchez is in good company on the team with running back Jacquizz Rodgers of Lamar Consolidated — the first recipient of the Mr. Texas Football Award.
The winter edition of the Texas football annual will name district-by-district high school players of the year, a preview of the 2008 National Signing Day, reviews of each Division I college’s 2007 season and a look forward to their spring practices and highlight the year’s memorable games.
