WORTHAM — —
The Wortham Bulldogs were dominated offensively the entire night as the Axtell Longhorns defense shut the Wortham Bulldogs down 32-0 Friday night at Bulldog Stadium. Wortham (2-4) tallied less than 75 yards total offense.
Axtell (3-3) scored touchdowns in each of the quarters and added two point conversions en route to a 16-0 halftime becoming a 32-0 win. Dalton Harralson scored on a 9-yard run early to give the longhorns a 8-0 lead after Michael Milburn scored on a two-point conversion.
The Bulldog defense played well despite spending much of the game on the field, while the Bulldog offense could only muster two first downs on the night.
Tanner Fields, the fifth quarterback this season for the Axtell Longhorns, tossed a touchdown pass to Milburn from 36 yards out to give the Longhorns a 16-0 halftime lead lead. Backup fullback Ty Salters scored in the third quarter and Fields scored on a keeper to round out the scoring.
