Dallas Life outpaces Hubbard, 54-13
The difference: The passing games. Dallas Life had a 67 percent completion rate while Hubbard only 33 percent.
Standouts: Dallas Life RB Carvin Thompson averaged 10.4 yards a carry and scored two TDs. Senior RB Renell Thompson found the end zone twice while catching three passes for a total of 92 yards. One of the more exciting plays of the evening for Dallas Life came in the third quarter when junior Teverick Boyd returned a kickoff for 85 yards to score the Lions sixth TD on the night.
Game notes: Joe Heckathorn made is coaching debut for the Hubbard Jaguars … he found some high points that he hopes to carry over into next week against Merridian, one particular that came in the running game … with a total of 266 rushing yards, the Jags averaged 15.8 yards a carry … Jaguars senior Andrew Thompson rushed for 104 yards.
Stat of the game: Hubbard had a total of 266 yards rushing contributed by five different players. Two of the five players rushed for more than 85 yards.
