Riesel outlasts Wortham, 15-6

The difference: Wortham failed to convert two drives inside Riesel’s red zone including one drive that left Riesel to take over on their four yard line. Wortham also committed several penalties which ended drives and took away momentum.
Standouts: Riesel’s Ty Marshall rushed for 121 yards on eight carries and scored one touchdown. Trent Stiles also ran for 95 yards on 16 carries and one touchdown.
Game notes: Wortham only had 45 yards of total offense. Chris Perez returned a fumble recovery 23 yards for Wortham’s only touchdown of the night. Riesel rushed for a combined total of 272 yards including two players with at least 95 yards.
