Kiwanis Classic Girls: Kerens beats Teague 56-35

LadyCats back in title game again

Corsicana — The Kerens Lady Cats kept their Kiwanis Classic winning streak alive Friday night, defeating the Teague Lady Lions 56-35.

 Kyera Abram led Teague with eight points and also added 10 rebounds.

Taylor Ames headed the Kerens offense, scoring 20 points for the second straight day.

Breanna Wells had a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 boards. Marqueshia Kelly also had double digit rebounds, nabbing 12.

The Lady Cats had a relatively quiet third quarter, only scoring six, but answered in the fourth by out scoring the Lady Lions 18-6 to close out the game.

Kerens will play the Frost Lady Bears in tomorrow nights Kiwanis Girls Championship.
