Standouts: Micheal Jordan rushed for 163 yards on only 11 carries and three touchdowns to lead the Bobcat offense. Also, quarterback Ryan Leerskov completed six of seven passes for 70 yards and two scores, while rushing for 71 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Game notes: Kerens played without standout Pat Faulk, who was held out after an injury last week against Mildred … Turnovers continue to plague the Bulldogs. Navarro and Grayson County didn’t meet at last year’s Junior College World Series, even though the Texas schools both made it to Grand Junction.
They played a game Wednesday filled with a tournament type of intensity.
The Bulldogs held on in the end 6-5 as freshman Gage Curry, who was just finishing up his career as a Corsicana Tiger last year when Navarro won the national title, got the final two outs for his second save. -
