The Tigers girls doubles team of Kayla Parker and Casey Harrison almost made it to the second day at the Class 4A Region II Tennis Tournament.
Parker and Harrison, both seniors, lost their quarterfinal match to the No. 2 seed, Frisco Wakeland’s Sarah Cocke and Shelby Strohla, 6-4, 6-3, on Monday at UT-Arlington.
Parker and Harrison won their first-round match Monday against a team from Dallas Thomas Jefferson.
“The girls played hard and went out competing,” Tigers coach Chad White said. “They had a great tennis career at Corsicana.”
The boys team of freshman Ben Crocker and sophomore Joanthan Castan lost in the first round Monday, 6-3, 6-0, to Frisco Centennial.
“It was a good experience for them,” White said.
