NJCAA Softball: Lady Bulldogs split doubleheader

Navarro wins Game 1 over Northeast, 6-4

The Navarro Lady Bulldogs won Game 1 of Wednesday’s doubleheader at Northeast, 6-4.

Missed opportunities in Game 2 left Navarro with a 3-2 loss in Mount Pleasant.

The Lady Bulldogs (18-13, 4-2) split their second straight conference doubleheader. Navarro comes right back with a home doubleheader at 1 p.m. Friday against Kilgore.

“We just have to find a way to keep our momentum and focus through two games,” Karenke said.

The Bulldogs had their chances in the Game 2 loss, stranding eight runners in scoring position.
