The Tigers won five of their six games at the Leander Tournament, upping their record to 9-4 on the season.
Corsicana hosts Burleson at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Price Field.
The Tigers won their first game Saturday morning, beating Leander 8-1. Holden Grounds had a two-hitter, allowing a run while striking out eight.
Bobby Lopez had two doubles and an RBI to pace the Tigers’ 11-hit attack. Layton Wolver and Hunter Denbow also had doubles. Zane Otten had a hit and three RBIs. Grounds had three hits and scored two runs.
The Tigers won twice on Friday. They beat Cedar Park Vista Ridge 8-3. Grounds and Zane Otten each went 2 for 3 and combined to score five runs. Wolver, Lopez, Otten and Ben Goodrich all had RBIs for the Tigers.
Tyler Casbeer picked up the win, allowing a run in 4 2/3 innings. Trevor Nolen pitched in relief and had three strikeouts.
The Tigers also beat Laredo Martin 9-0 on Friday. Jeremy Fowler and DJ Minniear combined for a four-hitters.
Corsicana had a five-run third inning. Lopez had a hit and two RBIs. Goodrich, Grounds and Preston Hill also had RBIs.
Denbow had the only hit in the Tigers’ 7-1 loss to Salado in their final game of the tournament on Saturday.
