The Tigers have one last chance to clinch a playoff spot for the second consecutive season.
Corsicana (14-14, 3-7) will play Nacogdoches in a fourth-place play-in game at 5 p.m. Friday in Whitehouse. The winner advances to the Region II-4A bi-district playoffs against Red Oak.
The Tigers had a chance to eliminate Nacogdoches last Friday, but lost a tough five-set match 15-25, 25-22, 25-19, 18-25, 15-13. Corsicana led 13-12 in the fifth set but lost three straight points.
The Tigers beat Nacogdoches in early October 25-12, 25-19, 25-17 at Tiger Gym. Corsicana coach Amber Feist said Thursday she’s confident about her team’s chances.
“We’ve had a couple of good practices and we’re working hard and we have a good attitude,” Feist said.
