Navarro plummetted to No. 13 in the NJCAA National Poll after a 26-24 loss on Saturday at Northeast Oklahoma A&M.
The Bulldogs (7-2) lost when Patrick’s Sohrt’s 46-yard field goal came up short with 23 seconds left. Navarro is the highest ranked two-loss team.
NEO jumped four spots in the poll to No. 4 in the country behind Iowa Western, Butler and Nassau. The Golden Norsemen will play Tyler in a SWJCFC semifinal game on Saturday.
Navarro will play No. 8 Kilgore (8-1), which moved up four spots in the poll. The Bulldogs lost to the Rangers 45-35 on the road earlier this season.
