The Navarro Runnin’ Bulldogs used the Thanksgiving break to build up more momentum for four conference games coming up in 11 days, winning two games at the Angelina Classic on Friday at Saturday.
Navarro (7-3, 1-0) will resume conference play at 7 p.m. Wednesday against Lee College at the K. and Ida Wolens Special Event Center.
The Runnin’ Bulldogs won their conference opener last Tuesday, beating South Zone favorite Jacksonville, 62-59.
Navarro ran its winning streak to four games with two wins in Lufkin.
The Runnin’ Bulldogs defeated Southwestern Christian College on Friday, 79-66, behind 15 points from Micah Cooper and 11 each from Harrison Hawkins and Turner.
Navarro made 50 percent of its shots and had a season-best 12 3-pointers and 25 assists. Hawkins and Cooper each made three treys. Hawkins also had nine assists.
On Saturday, Navarro crushed Redlands 71-43 to make it four straight.
