Navarro finished off Panola with an eight-run sixth inning and rolled to a 17-2 victory over the Ponies in Game 1 of a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Graham Field.
The Bulldogs (13-6, 6-0) won the second game 13-3 as Zach Hobbs had a three-hitter.
The Bulldogs took advantage of 10 walks by Panola pitchers in Game 1. Navarro drew five walks in the sixth inning. Drake Roberts and Drew Benefield walked with the bases loaded. Kevin Meredith had a sacrifice fly.
Roberts had a RBI double in a five-run second inning as the Bulldogs took a 5-0 lead. Meredith also drew a bases loaded walk in the inning.
Roberts and John Clay Reeves had RBI singles as Navarro took an 8-0 lead in the fourth inning.
Gage Curry picked up his first win of the season, allowing two hits in six innings. He had six strikeouts and no walks.
Curry retired the first eight batters he faced and took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. Panola's Clint Cage broke up the no-hitter with a two-out single after Navarro infielders had made two errors earlier in the inning.
In Game 2, the Bulldogs were paced by Drake Roberts, who had two runs and four RBIs. Tyler Wilson also had two hits and three RBIs.
