GC Softball: Kirk, Smithart lead Lady Tigers on 16-4A all-district team
The Tigers team battled in district to earn a playoff spot, and a result they were well-represented on the all-district team. Junior Sidney Kirk shared offensive player of the year honors, and Raylee Smithart was named pitcher of the year.

GC Baseball: Mildred’s Shimonek to play in THSBCA all-star game
Mildred’s Nic Shimonek has been selected to play in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star game, scheduled for June 15 in Round Rock. It is one of two all-star games he will play in this summer, as he is also scheduled to compete in the football version in July.

Kim Bruins hit a two-run home run in a four-run fifth inning to help Texas beat Arizona State 6-3 on Thursday night in their opening game in the Women's College World Series.

Kamp, Anderson lead strong Kerens contention on 19-1A all-district baseball team
It was a banner year for Kerens baseball, and the District 19-1A all-district team provided one final push for the Bobcats. Senior DJ Kamp is going out with the district’s Defensive Player of the Year award, and junior Brett Anderson was named Offensive Player of the Year. For good measure, coach Jayson Engel was named Coach of the Year.

Kilcrease lone LadyCat on 19-1A all-district team
Kerens sophomore Kayla Kilcrease was the lone LadyCat named to the District 19-1A all-district team. Kilcrease played a number of positions for the Bobcats, and even pitched. She was a first-team selection.

Tiger Volleyball Camp scheduled for June 11-12
The summer Corsicana Tiger Volleyball Camp is scheduled for June 11-12, and campers who want T-shirts must be registered by June 5.
