Allison Moore of Barry and Dillon Brown of Corsicana were united in marriage on June 4, 2011, in a 7 p.m. ceremony held at the home of the bride’s parents in Dawson. The ceremony was officiated by Ed Straubing.
Allison is the daughter of Eddie and Cheri Moore of Dawson, and the granddaughter of Bud and Barbara Moore and Lloyd and Sybil Baldwin. She is a graduate of Blooming Grove High School, and the Navarro College Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program. She is employed by N 2 Motion Therapy in Corsicana.
Dillon is the son of Jerry and Denise Brown of Corsicana, and the grandson of J.R. and Frances Brown and Joe and Peggy Baumgartner. He is a graduate of Corsicana High School and is employed by Jerry Brown Construction.
The bride’s dress was designed by Alfred Angelo, it was strapless, ivory colored, trimmed in champagne and bead work around the waste and train. Her bouquet was a summer mixture of hydrangias, calla lillies, pink roses, and other assorted flowers. Boutonnieres were calla lillies.
Decorations for the ceremony included on the steps of a log cabin, passion vine covering the arch, 3-D stars with lighted candles hanging from the porch. Lanterns with candles hanging from shepherd’s hooks aligned the walkway while candles sit along the porch railing.
An acoustic guitar solo played by bride’s uncle played while people were being seated, George Strait’s “I Cross my Heart” played while the bridal party entered and Thompson Squares’ “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not” played when bridal party exited.
Serving as the bride’s Maid of Honor was Elizabeth Collier of Corsicana, the groom’s cousin. Bridesmaids were Kristen Williams of Houston, the bride’s high school friend; Courtney Reed of Corsicana, bride’s friend; Gretchen David of Corsicana, bride’s friend; Brandy Baker of Austin, bride’s friend; Courtney Aguado of Corsicana, bride’s friend; Chaunta Hunt of Clifton, bride’s cousin; and Audra Harper of Corsicana, bride’s high school friend.
The Flower Girl was Leddy Gaines of Corsicana, daughter of Justin and Kassie Gaines; and the Ring Bearers were Jude Moore of Barry, the bride’s nephew, and Gavin Collier of Corsicana, son of groom’s cousin
Best man for the groom was Kevin Collier of Corsicana, groom’s cousin. Groomsmen were Clayton Acker of Salado, groom’s high school friend; Cody Duke of Corsicana, groom’s friend; Josh Aguado of Corsicana, groom’s friend; Chris Neiman of Corsicana, groom’s high school friend; Phillip Aguado of Corsicana, groom’s friend; Hayden Richardson of Corsicana, groom’s cousin; and Jarrod Moore of Barry, the bride’s brother.
Serving as ushers were Ty Anderson of Corsicana, groom’s friend; Brody Clay of Corsicana, groom’s friend; and Chris Davis of Corsicana, groom’s friend.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Tables served with finger foods, decorated with peat moss, hydrangias and greenery. The outdoor patio was decorated with large lanterns, lights in the trees and candles filled the outdoor fireplace.
The bride’s cake was a 3-tier white tooled leather cake with strawberry inside. The groom’s cake was a 2-tier brown tooled leather cake with strawberries dipped in white and brown chocolate on top, and red velvet inside with chocolate cream cheese icing.
For their honeymoon, the newlyweds caught a plane from DFW Airport to Miami and took a five day cruise to the Bahamas and Key West, Fla.
The couple resides in Barry.
