Jordyn McKenzie Hunter of Southlake and William Scott Summerall of Dallas were united in marriage at 7 p.m. April 30, 2010, at Marie Gabrielle Gardens in Dallas. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. B.F. Risinger Jr. of Corsicana. Music was provided by Margaret Atkinson on the harp and Keith Jourdan on the trumpet. They played “Canon in D,” “The Ludlows,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Ave Maria.” The garden wedding was under a canopy of trees with altar flowers in deep shades of pink set atop chocolate pedestals. All flower arrangements were done by Fête Des Fleurs of Dallas.
The bride is the daughter of John and Terri Hunter of Southlake. Jordyn is the granddaughter of Doris and Bob Latimer of Tucker, Ga., and the late Ed Hunter of Tucker, Ga., and the late Virginia and Hubert Gladson of Birmingham, Ala. The groom is the son of Gary and Marty Summerall of Corsicana. Scott is the grandson of Dora Roell of Jackson, Miss., and the late Harry Roell, and the late Trudy and Willard Summerall of Corsicana.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless A-line gown with a beaded Chantilly lace overlay with scallops on the neckline and crystal beading on the bodice. The empire waistline was wrapped in champagne stain and had a scalloped semi-chapel train. She carried a bouquet with various flowers of light pink and ivory. For something old, she carried a ring, which given to her by her aunt Jean, in the bridal bouquet. For something new, the bride wore a pair of diamond and pearl earrings given to her by the groom. For something borrowed, she wore a diamond necklace belonging to her mother. And for something blue, she wore her sapphire engagement ring.
The bridesmaids were Saber Hunter of Keller, sister-in-law of the bride; Bethany Harbour of Southlake, friend of the bride; and Caitlin Kurz of Galveston, friend of the bride. Serving as best man was William Scott Summerall II, son of the groom. The groomsmen were Justin Hunter of Keller, brother of the bride; Derek Diaz Deleon of Dallas, friend of the bride and groom; and Josh Adams of Grapevine, friend of the bride and groom. The ushers were Antonio Medellin Jr. of Kaufman, friend of the bride and groom; Matt Summerall of Celina, cousin of the groom; and James Claus of Dallas, friend of the bride and groom.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at Marie Gabrielle Restaurant. Combinations of different Jan Barboglio containers at various heights were throughout the room containing different shades of pink florals. Masses of candles provided an elegant glow and soft illumination. The ivory wedding cake had different shapes for each tier, different champagne designs on each tier, and had an ivory fondant floral topper.
Jordyn is a graduate of Southlake Carroll High School and the University of Texas at Austin. Scott is a graduate of Corsicana High School and Southern Methodist University. He is employed by Burson Marsteller, a public relations firm in Dallas.
Following a honeymoon in Greece, the couple is making their home in Dallas.
