Corsicana —
Amanda Coffey and John Paul Chapman, both of Corsicana, were united in marriage on Nov. 6, 2010, at Mildred Baptist Church. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Tony Neal.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Debbie Raines of Corsicana. The groom is the son of the late Mike Chapman, and Pam Chapman of Corsicana.
The couple exchanged vows in front of a colorful stained glass trinity cross window. The sanctuary was decorated beautifully with red roses and white bows on the pews. Music for the ceremony was provided by Vickie Neal. The bride entered the sanctuary on the arm of her brother, to the accompaniment of the wedding march, played by Mrs. Rose Rash. And the song “Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right,” was played before the couple exchanged vows. Mrs. Rash also played special music to conclude the ceremony.
The bride wore a pearl edged white wedding veil, with a strapless tea-lite taffeta gown, with an empire waste. The gown was also accented by tiny shimmering studs, featuring a five foot cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of red roses and baby’s breath.
Maid of Honor, Jamie Mitchell, stood with the bride. The other bride’s attendants were Tasha Chapman, Richelle Perry and Lene Mitchell. The flower girls were Savannah Goodin and Neveah Chapman.
The groom was accompanied by Best Man, Chris Chapman. The other groom’s attendants were Aaron Goodin, Anthony Potts and Elvin Sikes. The ringbearer was Harley Chapman.
Serving as ushers were Damon Joles, nephew of the bride, and Cory Rosa, cousin of the groom.
Guests in attendance came from Corsicana, Rockwall, Nevada, Waxahachie and Malakoff.
Following the wedding, a reception was held with the couple’s family and friends in Fellowship Hall at the Church. The bride’s cake was provided by Kathe Miles, and the grooms cake was provided by Hazel Nance and Jannette Whitehead. Along with the cake, Hannah Short served punch to the guests.
Photography was handled by Tom Miles and Courtney Howard.
The couple has planned for a honeymoon at a later date, and will reside in Corsicana.
