Corsicana —
Krystal Renee McCollum and Jeffrey Allen Hogue were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at the home of the bride’s parents with Rev. Tim Easley officiating.
The bride is the daughter of John and Brenda McCollum of Corbet and sister of Jonathan McCollum of Waco. The groom is the son of Sharon and Rodney Jock of Eureka and the brother of Angela Price of Enid, Okla.
Krystal is the granddaughter of Edith Moreau and the late H.H. Moreau and the late Bill and Ruth McCollum of Corsicana. Jeffrey is the grandson of Bill King of Pineville, La. and Orpha King of Otis, La. and Christine Jock of Corsicana.
The patio was decorated with a rustic backdrop covered in lights and decorated with burlap and orange panels.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride appeared wearing a fitted ivory gown embellished with beaded ivory lace accented with a fingertip ivory tulle veil detailed with identical beading. She carried a bouquet of orange, brown and tan Gerber daisies accented with pearls.
Matron of honor was Jennifer Warnix of Dickinson, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Erin Dossey of Kirven and Jessica Allen of Bullard, two of the bride’s best friends. Attendants wore brown cotton dresses with brown boots. They carried bouquets of orange Gerber daisies.
Best man was Bart Dunaway of Corsicana, best friend of the groom and groomsmen were Rodney Jock of Eureka, groom’s step-father, and Christ Laseter of Angus, good friend of the groom. The groom and his groomsmen all wore brown shirts, blue jeans and brown boots.
Ushers were Jonathan McCollum, brother of the bride, and Jud Jock, step-brother of the groom.
Following the ceremony a reception was held under a beautifully decorated tent.
While the guests enjoyed a brisket meal with all the trimmings, music was provided by Darrell O’Sullivan for them to enjoy and dance.
The bride’s cake was three-tiered square cake with strawberry, cherry and vanilla layers with buttercream icing. The topper was heart-shaped made of crystal with a Texas charm hanging down. This same cake topper was used on her grandparents’ 50th anniversary cake over 15 years ago. The groom’s cake was a square chocolate peanut butter cake layered with Reese’s peanut butter candy. Both were served by Monica and Angela McCollum, cousins of the bride.
The newly wedded couple departed with a shower of bubbles for a weekend honeymoon. The official honeymoon will take place when the groom returns home from his second military tour overseas.

Emily Ann Bates and Daniel Keith Hanzus were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. on May 12, 2012 in an outside ceremony at The Vista on Seward Hill in Austin, Texas. Officiating the ceremony were Kenneth Bates, cousin to the bride and the Honorable Phillip Zeigler with scripture reading by Matthew Price. A cocktail hour, dinner and dancing followed at the venue. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at Stubb's Barbeque; also in Austin.
