Texas Country artists organize Moore benefit

MOORE, Okla. — The tornado that tore through an Oklahoma City suburb destroyed or damaged as many as 13,000 homes and may have caused $2 billion in overall damage, officials said Wednesday.

When Tuesday’s rains blew through Hubbard, blowing up the last half of practice, the Lady Jags loaded up, and went home. They can only hope to be loading up and going south next week. Hubbard (24-6-1) has a chance to set GPS devices for Austin if the Lady Jags can get past Sam Rayburn (28-2) Friday in the Region II-1A championship.

Next Monday we will fly our flag outside our house to honor Memorial Day. It is a tradition my wife brought into our marriage from her father who served in the Pacific during World War II.

Navarro County Treasurer Frank Hull was notified of his nomination for Outstanding County Treasurer by the County Treasurer's Association of Texas (CTAT) Chairman of the Nomination Committee, Donna Kelly, Erath County Treasurer. The winner is determined by a vote of the 250 membership in May. Only five are nominated each year.
